There Are Shops. And Then There is Hobby Chan

I’m not an Otaku. I was never into Anime or video games. I watched a couple of episodes here and there, read about a few mangas, but I definitely never saw myself as a collector of “toys”. I was a copy of a template set by society, a straight-A student whose only goal was the next A+. In my head, anime and manga and figures were all a waste of time. What mattered, I believed, were the grades you received.

Enter Hobby Chan.

This small shop weighs more than 25-years of combined passion intertwined with persistence, perseverance and love.
The air is scented with dreams, while the atmosphere is that of a miniature-hub for all sorts of hobby enthusiasts.

I met painters and sculptors, parents and students, and I saw how passion ignites a unique glow in each and every one of them.

And now I’m a proud collector of Figma figures. And maybe a few other things.

And below is my Hobby Chan collection. For now.
