Kizuna Yumeno is a beautiful girl who all the boys at school adore. She always scores
top marks in all her classes and also excels in her after school activities.
Kizuna attends the same school as Mirai but even though they are in different classes, Mirai feels a sense of rivalry from Kizuna for some reason.

SMART DOLL 002 – KIZUNA YUMENO

Released in June 2014, Smart Doll is a 60cm tall articulated fashion doll designed by Danny Choo and manufactured in Japan by Culture Japan.
The first Smart Doll (001) is modeled after the Japan tourism mascot Mirai Suenaga and comes in two flavors – Manual and Automatic.
The Manual version is powered by your imagination thanks to the fully articulate and sturdy internal frame called Mirai Frame.
The Automatic version is powered by electricity – a robotic doll that not only can move on its own but also comes with functionality to inform you when you get notifications from Twitter, Facebook or updates from your Mail and Calendar.

Kizuna Yumeno is the second character to be released as a Smart Doll, If you like your girls to be a bit more tsun + dere with a sprinkle of Ojo-sama then you may want to go for Smart Doll 002: Kizuna Yumeno instead who is due out towards the end of this year – could be sooner depending on how development of the facemasks, wig and apparel go.

YOU’VE GOT MAIL!

On the 9th of November, 2014, we received Smart Doll 002 straight from Japan as first owners of the doll. It’s a blessing experience/feeling which we can not thank Danny-san enough for.
As stated by Danny himself, each doll will progress and improve more than the previous model, which is what we were trying to observe with Kizuna.

PACKAGING

Smart Dolls are 60cm in height, which is why it comes in such a lovely long boxes/packages. Smart Dolls are elegant (they have feelings too), so we highly advise handling their packages with extreme care & love.
Danny Choo has done a great job packing/wrapping the item in bubble wraps but that doesn’t mean throwing the boxes will be fine ^^”

Smart Doll 002 – Kizuna comes perfectly wrapped with a lovely information card about her, the card reads:

UNBOXING KIZUNA

At Hobby Chan Toys, we always unbox our products in such a clean simple way with a few rituals and habits of ours 

Kizuna or not, we always make sure we unbox our items in a dust-free area, clean the table or the cloth that you will be placing the item on and of course, make sure your hands are washed properly to avoid stains or any oils on the product itself. If you are planning to shoot an unboxing video, or even take some photos, make sure you don’t use a hot yellow lighting, or at least never direct a light on the product. We use white cold bulbs.

WHAT DOES THE BOX CONTAIN?

Smart Doll 002 – Kizuna comes (in the default package) with:

• Smart Doll Kizuna (Manual Version)
• Culture Japan Outfit (Jeans + Medium Sleeve Shirt)
• Leather Shoes
• Wig (Blonde Hair)
• Authentication/Appreciation Letter

Unwrapping Kizuna was the most exciting part through out the unboxing process, the Smart Doll is wrapped with plastic paper and had a different wrap around her waist up to her chest. A lot of work and thoughts has been put on her obviously.

Most of the dolls out there in the market are not proportional in terms of chest to waist. The first thing you will notice about Smart Dolls is that, the proportions here are made more realistic, it is crafted to reflect the beauty of the character herself. What we also noticed and loved about Kizuna was the faceup and blushing she had, photos do not do justice to how beautiful Kizuna’s face is, we will include close up photos at the end of the blog post for your reference.

When Danny Choo revealed Kizuna Smart Doll 002 for the first time, people including us fell in love with her cargo pants, these pants are not shipped with the default package however, we are hoping to see it sold separately just like Mirai’s school outfit through Danny’s website. The reason why these pants were not shipped with the doll is to showcase Kizuna’s body/legs beauty which what makes her actually different from any other doll we’ve seen. The jeans we got with her is actually one of the most amazing outfits we had, it is made to fit the doll exactly. We loved how every single detail was taken care of from adding Culture Japan’s logo to fitting the outfit.

KIZUNA YUMENO 

Smart Doll 002 – Kizuna Yumeno is finally here fully in her outfit, to brush the hair nicely, people usually use a regular toothbrush, however, we highly recommend using the official Volks wig brush which comes in softer material.

CRYSTAL CLEAR EYES

Kizuna comes loaded with amazingly crystal clear eyes, the reflection and the eye sparkles are attracting, it plays a huge role in her character. Kizuna is indeed Mirai’s rival.

CONCLUSION

We can only at this point congratulate Danny on another successful product that captured our hearts. Smart Doll 002 – Kizuna Yumeno is a beauty indeed, throughout the entire unboxing, we couldn’t help but compliment every single part in the doll. Kizuna’s first batch was shipped during November 2014. As Danny stated in his tweet, Orders for Kizuna chan are limited to 1 per/person. Shipping between Nov 7 and 28. No later than 28.
